I have to buy a new laptop replacement.

Since my last purchase I notice that many new ones have gone to SSD storage but have limited storage capacities.

My old one had 750GB which was originall partitioned in two sections
250GB for the OS & Programs and 500 for data.

Is partitioning recommended on the new SSDs?
Any drawbacks vs HDD's?
Thanks for your help

Solution
SSDs have limited size compared to HDDs simply due to price.
At retail prices, 1TB HDD is ~$50
1TB SSD is $220+

Partitioning is purely personal preference.
