ok, this is what i have done and lost gigas on the ssd evo samsung, i was sleepy and messed the partitions , and at the end from 256 g it ended up with 238 g, what steps to do to get to full size again?

what softare are you using to look at the size? Taskmanager will always show less than what your drive has, it shows my 1tb drive at 938gb.

Huh? If you have a 256gb drive, you should only have about 230gb of useable space. Point is, you buy a drive for 1TB but only get 930gb, which is 93% usable. That's normal. So a 256gb would be 238gb usable.

So, your space is normal .

Yeah, windows likes to hog a few gig's from you.

what are you using to check the storage amount?

No matter what you do. If you buy a 256gb drive you'll only have 238gb usable. You can't change that.

it can very but no matter what drive you buy your always going to lose 10-80 gb's to drive partitions and other windows crap.
