It's for my dad and i dunno exact i3 model or motherboard model but does all i3 works as Sata 3.0(6 Gb/s) SSD's. Gonna buy Hyper X Savage 240gb which in my city is cheaper than other 240gb's. And its MLC tech. so its good for long usage than TLC SSD's. So please clear my doubt abt i3 support guys. If it doesn't support 6Gb/s and run as 3Gb/s is there to notice any big difference. And still it will be must faster over normal HDD for booting and opening applications right?

Solution

Honestly you'd never even notice.
No matter what it will be tremendously faster than an HDD.

As for the CPU that doesn't matter, its the motherboard that matters whether its a 6gb/s SATA port or not. Without knowing that we can't confirm the system's performance. But the fact he has an i3 has no bearing on it.

MLC does have more writes (all things being equal). But newer SSDs have greater endurance (in general). You'll want to compare TB/yr or the endurance of the drive in PB (total life, not annualized). You don't need to worry about it being an i3 nor that it uses sata 3 rather than 6. A sata 6 drive will just run at sata 3 speeds when connected to a sata 3 bus.

As i dunno exact motherboard model coz. that system is in another country.. Does 6Gb/s vs 3Gb/s will give huge difference for booting up and opening applications, or it wont be much noticable ?

Ok. Thanks :)

Of course it has an impact (though trivial), but you're missing the point. That it does not matter. It will be MUCH MUCH faster for the user.

You are asking:
If I put a Porsche engine in a VW will it drive like a Porsche. It won't, but that is not relevant. What is relevant is that it will make that old VW much more lively and I suspect that was your actual goal.

Hehe yeah :)
