I'm looking to build a new PC very soon, after evaluating Ryzen and maybe Vega when announced, to upgrade mine. I mainly use it for gaming and programming.

At the moment, my (old) build is based on a FX9590/RX480 and a Samsung EVO 840 250GB for the OS.

For my next build, I'm looking for a fast and not-too-pricey NVM/SATA SSD for the OS + a 500gb SSD for games storage (Already found a SU800 at very low price).

Options I'm considering at the moment:
MyDigitalSSD BPX 240GB -- 155€
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB -- 99€
Samsung 750 EVO 500GB - 130€
Samsung 960 EVO 250GB -- 150€
Samsung SM961 250GB -- 150€
SK Hynix PC300 250GB NVMe -- 95€ (Didn't find any review for this one)
Corsair MP500 250GB -- 140/150€

Any suggestions on what I should go for? Are PCI-E really worth the almost 1.5-2x cost compared to their SATA versions?

No it isn't, the 850 evo is the most i'd go with for a consumer drive imo, anything above and diminishing returns start to kick in in regards to how much you notice the speed difference.
For software and OS, any higher will make little difference.
My budget for the ssd is 100-150€, so the price is not the problem. I'm trying to understand if a NVMe is worth it, and if the performance increase is of some use in real testings (expecially, in multitasking) when paired to a high number of cores CPU. Any suggestion is appreciated
