SSD Format issues or what?

I have 2 pc's I'm working on.
Both have 120gb SSD and Win7 64.


1: x58 board, BIOS RAID ( SSD is a non RAID disk )

Windows, Drivers, Updates = 24gb

2: z68 board, BIOS AHCI

Windows, Drivers, Updates = 40gb


I know the drivers are different but as I compare the difference is maybe 2gb.

So I am 14gb off. What's the deal?

Are there some hidden files to look for
or is this a format or system problem?

Possibly page files or restore points.

Try running windirstat to see where the data is, http://windirstat.info/

Pagefile crazy large on the z68 ( that has more ram )
I set them to 2048-4096 to see and they are both
using 2048.

Now It's 22.8 gb vs. 27.5

Where do you look for restore info?

I will look at windirstat also.

You can also disable hibernate and that will free up some space.
The system restore is in the control panel , system and security , backup and restore. You can find options there.
