What laptop is it?
It depends on what format hdd is now and how old laptop is.
If laptop is old and doesn't have UEFI boot method as an option, and ssd is in MBR format, you might be able to just delete C and install
If laptop is new and has UEFI boot method, and ssd is in GPT format, you might be able to jest delete C and install
If laptop is new and ssd is in MBR, then win 10 will want you to delete the entire drive and start with a blank drive. Reason is if win 10 recognises PC supports UEFI boot and you have MBR drives, it will insist on using GPT. You might be able to set bios so it uses legacy boot method and trick win 10 into letting you keep MBR.
