SSD freezing on MB splash screen

So ive recently bought new parts for my pc, and I wanted to test them with some old parts before everything comes in to make sure everything works. I found out the SSD doesn't want to boot past the splash screen, but it boots just fine onto my laptop, its a 1TB mx500, I have an extra SSD that I use to boot and it works just fine and ill have the MX500 as a secondary drive to run games and it works fine, so it just refuses to boot on its own. ive tried unplugging all usb devices, reseting cmos, checking integrity of the windows boot, checking firmware is up to date, checking for errors. so I'm kind of out of options at this point, if anyone has any ideas of how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using the same OS installation on both machines?

OR...

Did you reinstall the OS on the machine that doesn't boot past the flash screen?

yeah, if you didn't reinstall windows this is not a valid test.
