You may in fact have an issue with the drive. I ran AS SSD on both of my SSD's this morning (ADATA & Kingston) and my scores were considerably higher with both while running other tasks (cable card live tv and 25 tabs open). Your SSD is connected on a SATA III header, correct?

Well, if you've determined there aren't any random background reads and writes going on then the thing may be on its way out. Not much you can do other than prepare for the potential inevitable. Fortunately it isn't a huge drive and you likely don't need to backup everything on it. However its never a bad idea in my opinion to image your SSD's so if you do have to RMA, you can mount the image and be on your way immediately with the replacement.

On my main computer and primary laptop my SSD lifespans have averaged just over a year. You may be fortunate in the fact you've identified degradation prior to failure, mine have just failed 100%. Completely dead out of no where. On the positive side its still running well faster than a platter drive so run it into the ground, then RMA for a new one. All of my RMA'ed drives were replaced with the newer model.

That's odd, and sucks honestly. At least you don't have a yr of random stuff on there to find and BU.

So you're going to have to determine if you want to wait for it to completely die, which may actually never happen, or investigate your warranty to see if your issue is covered and RMA.

With all the goodness a SSD brings it certainly does have more reliability issues. In my opinion they're still well worth the trouble.

Doesn't matter how hard the manufactures tries to manage quality control the occasional unit is going to fail prematurely. And, I may be mistaken but think Toshiba makes most SSD re-sellers storage chips. Therefore you went with a quality unit, just bad luck.

If it is bad, I can send it back, but its not a huge problem yet, just an inconvenience when playing battlefield (first people to load get the vehicles), if it gets an worse i shall send it back.
