Hello guys. This is my first question, though not my first visit to this forum - I hope you can help me as much as you did in the past :)

Yesterday my computer suddenly shot out and didn't started again - not even reaching the BIOS. After checking each internal component (disconnecting all storage drives, RAM modules but one...), I found that was the main SSD (SATA) the component that was stopping the rig to start.

However, I gave another try with given SSD connected and the computer started but then, the power connector of the SSD started to smoke and burn - I had to shut down the rig immediately. The SSD is beyond reasonable repair, with the power connector terribly burnt. The PSU cable has been burnt as well but only at the specific connector, nonetheless both SSD and cable have been removed for good (modular PSU).

So now, with a new SSD M.2 on the road, my question is: what the heck happened?! and there's a possibility that any other component of my computer could have get damaged?

Thanks!
