ssd hardrive new build

Hi i have a stupid question do i need two hard drives or) ssd )one for my os and one for general storage? or can i buy a 250 gig ssd and have os on there and use it for games and storage ? from what i have gathered ssds are the way to go for your os ..... but should i get a hybrid drive 3x the space same price?

Most common is a SSD for the OS drive and a HDD for a data drive.

But you can just use a HDD

or a SSHD

or a large SSD
