So i bought like 6 months ago a brand new SSD and for the past 5 months everything was working as it should be, until it started slowing down to the point where it works as slow as an HDD. Im using less than 60% of storage so its not a size issue. I ran out of ideas (Turned off disk de-frag, changed battery plans, disabled ATA/ATAPI, changed SATA ports, etc.) And CrystalDisk shows that its healthy. Any ideas?

MSI B450M Pro-VDH Max
Ryzen 5600g
16GB Corsair vengeance 3200
1660 SUPER EVGA
Thermaltake Smart Series 500W
SSD---------> ADATA SU650

Thermaltake Smart Series 500W
Thermaltake is the brand of the unit while Smart series is a series, which unit from that series do you have? As for your 500W, that's the advertised wattage of the unit.

As for your SSD, it's not really something worth writing home about...if you have the 750U/800U and was slow, then that would've been something worth questioning.

BIOS version of the motherboard you're working with?

While the early SU650 models were no speed demons (only so much you can expect from a DRAMless SSD), their SM2258XT controller was at least very reliable. Later revisions went to Marvell, Realtek, or even Chinese Maxio controllers (which are known to overheat and disconnect until they cool down) and much slower NAND... without changing the model name.

I don't like to patronize companies that submit a good product to review sites, only to then quietly substitute much cheaper components later on. In any case some people have reported the warranty exchange for their defective SU650 was a SU800, which would be a good thing if it still has DRAM like the original review samples had.

sorry for taking this long to answer. The PSU's model is, literally, Smart 500W. Anyway im attaching this link to thermaltake if you want to check the model by yourself.

The thing is, Windows (or any app) would load in 10-15 seconds MAX. Now, booting up takes 10 minutes! When I wrote that it was working at a similar speed of an HDD i was talking about this kind of stuff. Stuff that happened to me in a 8 years-old HDD (which, in that case, makes absolute sense)

After this long boot time what does the bios time show?
