Hello everyone, today I am curious to see what my options are along the lines of a duel hard drive system using an HDD and a SSD. Currently, my desktop has a 1tb western digital caviar black (HDD). I am planning on adding a SAMSUNG 830 SSD with 128gb of memory. Now, obviously the SSD would be used for storing and running the OS (Windows 8 Premium). I need to put my OS onto the SSD from the HDD. Now, I got my OS thru a bit of a mistake made by a MS customer service person. I got my W8 account on my last PC, when I upgraded my windows 7 to windows 8 (This was while their 40 dollar deal was still available). When I built this PC, I ported windows 8 over into the new HDD and did a fresh boot. Windows was not verified when I turned it on. Customer support claimed that I could only have 1 desktop that was running my w8 account. So, they activated my windows 8 on this PC, but did not disable the OS on my old PC. So, is there some way for me to copy windows 8 and all of its verification and registration stuff, into the new SSD without invalidating my copy of windows 8? I would also need to remove windows 8 from the HDD afterwards without losing my files and programs that are already stored on the drive.
