SSD &+ HDD Integration

Bonjour yáll,

how to integrate both SSD and an internal Hard drive together ?
i want the OS and other utilities to be in SSD and other file(movies, music, docs ) on internal HDD.

also is it possible to temporarily stop/ remove usage of Internal HDD if its on idle mode?
(ex- if i am running a program/calculation on SSD , i dont need HDD to run in background)

my config is
AMD Fx8320,
Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0,
8gb ram,

Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB,
Seagate 500gb

Yes, it is possible. My preferred method would be to do a clean install on the SSD with it being the only drive attached to the system, then add the HDD as the D : drive. You can move My Documents and My Everything Else to a directory tree on the D drive.

Some HDDs will spin down if they are not used for a while, but unless you are concerned about the noise don't worry about the extra 3 watts. IMHO.
