I am trying to build my perfect system and would like a bit of advice please.

I am unsure weather to go with a samsung 850 evo 120GB SSD and a seagate 2TB HDD or to go for a Seagate 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive.

I am after a fast booting system but I am not sure if the 8GB ssd section of the hybrid is big enough to make a massive difference. I will be doing some gaming and intend to overclock.

The system inc: i5 4690k, Asus z97-a mobo, Asus GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card and 8GB Corsair Vengeance memory.

Many Thanks

Andy

Solution
Or you can get a 64GB SSD and 7200RPM HDD and setup SSD caching, which gives the whole HDD the speed of an SSD, within a couple %.

I would have either a 120gb ssd and a segate 2TB hdd OR the 2TB hybrid with it's 8GB ssd cache

I am trying to keep my costs down and the hybrid is much cheaper, would the extra ssd make a big difference or will the hybrid be just as fast?

You hit it RIGHT ON THE HEAD.

Hybrids are for folks with budgetary constrains, like we all I suppose. Best system performance and I believe the consensus here is SSD
