Question SSD help for a motherboard

I'm having a problem understanding which SSD to purchase for a specific motherboard. The volume of numbers and acronyms that pertain SSD selection is baffling my tiny brain. If you can spare a second which memory (SSD), in 128GB and 1TB sizes, should I get for MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus motherboard?

I've not researched enough to form an opinion, but it will probably be a nice CPU.

Nice as in..."It won't suck, and it will be a little bit better than the previous generation"
