Let me start off by saying this, I may explain something wrong as this is my first rodeo upgrading my computer on my own. The computer already has a 1TB HDD installed as it is original.

1. I have a GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P (rev. 2.0) AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128602).

2. I purchased a Samsung 970 EVO 500GB - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD (MZ-V7E500BW) [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BN4NJ2J/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1].

3. I purchased a QNINE NVME PCIe Adapter, M.2 NVME SSD to PCI Express 3.0 x4 Host Controller Expansion Card with Low Profile Bracket, PCIe NVME Adapter for PC Desktop (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MDH28Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

I have successfully installed everything to the motherboard, but I know I need to install Windows 10 on it in order to used it as the #1 boot menu option. I have Windows 10 on a USB drive.

With that all said, I do not know what to do from here in order to have Windows 10 successfully installed on my SSD, and to make it my #1 boot option.

Please help! Thank you in advance.

Solution
You bought the wrong drive.
Likely, you've fallen into the typical trap of "NVMe! OMG Faster!!"

Your motherboard came out before NVMe drives were a thing. Unless there is a specific BIOS update (unlikely) that will allow booting from that drive in an adapter in the PCIe slot, you can't.

Your motherboard does not know how to speak to an NVMe drive to boot from it.
