Question ssd install, not booting windows 10?

Hello,

Need: I want the ssd to just to boot while my hdd is storage.

So today I tried to install an ssd to my computer. I'll explain everything I did so you can get an idea of what I did or where I went wrong.

I installed the ssd and installed windows 10 via usb. This went well, it booted up windows 10 quick. But this wasn't with the hdd plugged in.

Now, I want to put my hdd into my computer as a storage space, but I know the OS on the hdd is still on there.

I can't delete or remove the windows 10 off the hdd as I can't even boot with my ssd without it prompting the "reboot and select proper boot device"

Should I, boot within the hdd and delete the os? or transfer all the files of the hdd onto another hard drive and clear the entire hdd?

I'm really confused on what I did.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Attached are images of my bios, of boot order. I followed other threads but it just seem to add more flame to the fire.

You should make a clean install of Windows while HDD is attached. Then on first boot, move your required files from HDD to SSD, then format HDD and move your files back to HDD, the problem should be solved.
