I have this old Dell Latitude D830 that I am looking to convert into a media center. This thing has been beat up and tossed around a lot over the last 4 years, so I think it's time to replace the HDD.
I'm looking to swap in a 256GB SSD more for reliability than anything else. I'm not concerned about performance improvements.
The only SSDs I can find are SATAII and up, while the Latitude has a SATA port.
Will this down-conversion work?
