Question SSD keeps going to 100% use while idling, HDD usage is high even though a backup?

So I installed a SSD while back to replace my old HDD, but I have been running into issues of the PC freezing and the disk often going up to 100% use without doing anything at all.

Another thing I recently noticed is that despite supposedly being just a backup device, the HDD is seeing ridiculously high usage as well

I have a 2tb 980pro and a 2tb HDD

So what did I do to cause this and how to fix?
My guess is that when I installed the SSD i partitioned the wrong drive or something but I have no clue to be honest

My windows is in finnish but perhaps a wise man can deduce the meanings

Here is the process window with 70% usage while doing absolutely nothing:

Here is the performance window while doing nothing:
Note the 50+% HDD usage despite the fact it is only supposed to be a backup drive

Here is the disk view of the partitions or whatnot, C drive is the SSD:

Games work fine and generally speaking it works fine but every once in a while just completely ceases to operate as the drives get totally maxed out for no proper reason

Neither drive is maxed out in those screenshots. It looks like those may be Windows services doing things in the background. How long has it been doing this? I'd leave the machine running but idle for at least several hours and see if it eventually stops. The freezing is definitely a concern but it's hard to tell if it's related.

Why is the HDD in use then when it is meant to be nothing more than a backup for SSD failing?
