SSD Life Span

Hi,
Which is correct for SSD lifespan, In the SSD's catalog, companies say MTBF is 2,000,000 Hrs
but another people say SSD life is depend on trasfering data, Which is correct?

I am mixed
I want buy a SSD, Corsair Neutron 64 GB or SAMSUNG 840 EVO 128 GB? Which has long lifespan? MLC or TLC?

Another Qestion
When a cell of SSD die the entire SSD will be Die or only that cell is dies like a bad sector in HDD?

For example if I have a 128 GB SSD and then create only one 60GB partition after died SDD i can use another unallocated space?

SSDs have a limited amount of writes. They pretty much last forever if you don't write data very much. To that end, MLC can take more writes than TLC.

They will last a long time up until they reach x number of writes. This number is really high so u less you have a server or are writing a lot of data it'll last probably upwards of 3_5 years. The Samsung 840 evo is really good as is the crucial m500. Those are my favorites and are about 75 for m500 and 90 for 840 on Amazon for 120gb. Can't go wrong with either and they will both probably last you through this build and into the next one.

MLC is rated at 10,000 program/erase cycles per cell while TLC is rated at 5,000 program/erase cycles per cell, so MLC wins. SSD life depends on the amount of data written to the drive - a Samsung 840 is good for at least 200 TB of writes. Generally the bigger the SSD the more writes it can take. Here is a torture test on various consumer grade SSD's

The tl-dr is that after 600TB writes, only a couple of them are starting to see a couple of retired cells.
For real world comparison, my 18 month old (24/7 use) Kingston HyperX 120GB drive has 3.25TB total writes. 0.5% of the above mentioned 600TB.
This will last years and years.
