Question SSD M.2 2280 SATA NOT SHOWING IN BIOS

hi guuys, i just wanted to ask. I have ASUS K501LX. why is it not the ssd is not appearing on my bios, even on windows internal on device managaer or disk partition. i want to set SSD m.2 2280 sata as my boot in windows and the HDD will only my storage of files. can somene guide me? thanks.. shud i disconnect the HDD? if yes how?
