I have installed a firecuda 520 1tb in my m.2-1 slot and wd 500gb drive in my m.2-2 slot.

Specs:
Intel core i-7-10700k
Asus rog strix z590-a
g.skill trident 4x8gb 3600
nvidia geforce 1080 fe
cooler master v850 gold semi fanless modular

i installed windows on my 500gb drive, wanted to install all game related stuff on my firecuda not for speed as im aware until 11th gen cpu comes out all three m.2 slots are pcie 3rd gen only.
my firecuda drive is not found though. its not in my bios or device manage. i cant even locate it as un-partioned space/new drive. i checked firecuda website for firmware but nothing.
any suggestions that might help me get this working?

Thanks Adam.

On some Z590 motherboards, the pcie 4.0 capable m.2 slot is not operative unless a 11th gen processor is installed.
Your motherboard manual may advise you if that is a possibility.
Try a different m.2 slot.

Some pcie ssd device makers will provide a pcie driver for their devices.
Samsung does, check on firecuda.

If your chipset drivers are not current, they should be updated.

From the MB site: Did you put the firecuda into slot 1?

Supports 3 x M.2 slots and 6 x SATA 6Gb/s ports
Intel®11th Gen Processors

M.2_1 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110

- Only Intel® 11th Core™ processors support PCIe 4.0 x4 mode, this slot will be disabled for other CPUs.

Well i copied and pasted that from the Asus site, so not sure why your book says that then.
i tried for giggle switching the m.2-1 to m.2-3 . the result was the same.
i feel like im missing a driver or firmware some sort of update for windows to detect it. though its not recognized in bios csm boot mode either.
i have updated windows. and there is no firmware for it on seagate site. what am i missing here folks?
