I want to buy an M.2 SSD but i don't know if it's the right time.
I'm interested in this models:
Intel 540s 240 GB (this is cheaper)
Crucial MX300 275 GB
What should I buy? I want to use it for is and maybe for csgo and lol. That's it.
A lot f problems with those Intel SSDs, out of 10 my at my client's company I already had to change 3 because of malfunctions. All within a year. They are right now in negotiations with Lenovo to replace them with other make.
For gaming and regular usage, regular sata ssd is good enough. No diff in FPS, maybe slight diff in game loading speed. Either Samsung 850 evo or Crucial MX300 2.5" is good. SATA is much cheaper as well.

Just to be clear there are two kinds of M.2 devices. Ones that use SATA which or no better than the regular 2.5" SSD SATA drives and those that use PCIe (NVME) which are much faster but more expensive.

I need an m.2 because of wire management and stuff like that. I don't really know if I need an NVME just for OS and 1 or 2 games.
