Hi everyone,

I've been considering an SSD card for some time and still attempting to understand the technology.

Currently my PC occupies about 1tb worth of storage. With that, my question is, am I better off forking out the ~300 for a 1tb SSD card, or can I get a significant boost transferring my windows to an SSD and leaving my remaining programs on my HDD.

If this is a good solution, what's the minimum storage you would recommend when transferring my windows 10 to a SSD

Thank you.

Solution
1. You can't transfer just the OS to a new drive.

2. For a reinstall, 120GB minimum. Currently, 250GB is the sweet spot for price vs size.

Additionally, your current Windows 10 is still just the Tech Preview. If that is all you have, you will need to buy an OS before Oct 1, 2015, when the Tech Preview runs out.
Win 10 RTM will be available for sale on and after July 29.

I thought about that also, I tried to install the OS to the larger 1TB drive also, still didn't let me boot after installing the OS.
