SSD missing over half its space

Hi, I have a 1TB SSD that's currently only showing less than 300GB of space. I recently reinstalled win 8 onto it, but before that it was working perfectly. I do have another 1 TB hard drive installed (not SSD) that's for my storage and that's working fine. There's no partitions other than for the system, but that's only a few GBs. Any idea on how to fix this?

Thanks.

Nothing's taking up the space, everything I check says the drive has a max of 300GB total, which means I have 188GB free after installing windows.

I'm not sure if this means anything but when I go to optimize drives in the defragmenter, there's a 3rd drive labeled "\\?\Volume{13c674f6-5c55-11e3-be65-806e6f6e6963}\" that's supposedly a solid state drive as well. Is it possible that's what's hiding all my GBs?

I would say is probably it. Why is it there? Unknown.

Yeah no idea where it came from. Any idea how to remove it and give the space back to the c drive?

i just signed up here to share my solution to the same problem that happened to me and i couldn't find anyone mentioning it any where, i lost a lot of time between formatting bios booting and played around everything so here is how i solved it
the reason of the ssd lost size that's almost 50% of it's size was intel rapid storage cache technology all i have to do is open intel rapid storage technology software and disable acceleration from performance tab then i was able to free the 60GB and it appeared in the disk management as an allocated space i extended the primary partition and was able to use the whole 128 GB ssd space again
