SSD NAND for Older Laptop...

So, I've been researching around a bit for whatever minor upgrades I can do for laptop and going for an SSD is one of them. So I started looking through Amazon for SSD's and came across NAND SSDs and then again I had to do a bit of research on them and basically came out with the conclusion that they are a bit faster even than regular SSDs. So now i'm confused as to whether I should go for an NAND instead, my laptop is a Toshiba C55-B5356. Here are the specs. https://support.toshiba.com/support/staticContentDetail?contentId=4006593&isFromTOCLink=false
To simplify things my laptop is used mostly for browsing and basic usage like paying bills and stuff.I do spend alot of times in youtube, i say this because it might helps determine whether NAND would benefit me more than regular SSD.This is what i was looking at in Amazon in case you are curious. https://www.amazon.com/Blue-NAND-500GB-SSD-WDS500G2B0A/dp/B073SBZ8YH/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1539385096&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=ssd+nand&psc=1

Thanks in advance to all.

Any decent SSD will be an improvement, though I can't tell from the specks whether your laptop is SATA II (capped at 3Gbps) or Satta III (up to 6 Gbps). Its probably the letter. I don't think you'd regret this, just to state the obvious though - you'll need to reinstall everything (so backup, backup ...).

Yeah, I don't have much to back up so I hope everything goes well and fast.

Will it be an improvement over an SSD thought? What I mean is, will it do whatever the SSD does faster or wil it just be a waste for what I need it?

It IS an SSD.
It will be a significant improvement over your current spinning HDD.

"3D NAND" is merely the way the cells are arranged. Basically, useless marketing fluff. Has no relevance to what you and I need.

It is an SSD, a very good SATA III SSD. You'll like it.

Not sure I understand your response. Yes, I know it's an SSD and and it will be superior to an HDD but you're saying that there's no speed difference between the SSD and the 3D NAND?

The "3D NAND" is simply the uber technological term for the way the memory cells are arranged in the chips.
Vertically, vs "2D NAND", horizontally in previous iterations of SSD's. It just allows greater data density in the same size chip.
https://searchstorage.techtarget.com/definition/3D-NAND-flash

It will run at the same speed as any other top quality SATA III drive. Samsung, 860 EVO, or Crucial MX500, for instance.

It's the same tech Samsung uses on their newer drives (Samsung invented it), and just that WD puts it directly in their marketing material.
