Hi, I recently just bought a samsung 850 evo, before that i had an intel ssd 530 series that i am still wanting to use. What i did was use the samsung data migration software to copy the intel contents to my samsung which worked fine. I then formatted the intel ssd and had it empty for storage. Later, i decided that i wanted to upgrade to windows 10 but didnt want to do it on my samsung because i was afriad something might go wrong. So i then tried to use intel data migration software to copy the contents of the samsung ssd to my intel ssd. This is when it all blew up. It was copying partitions and on step 4 of 5, then it had an error and now the intel ssd is just gone... It still appears in my bios and in my device manager, but is no longer in my windows explorer or disk management. I have a pic showing that it is in my device manager, the intel ssd, but nowhere else. So i cant access its storage or do anything with it, anyone have any idea what could have happened? Now if i try to run intels data migration it just tells me an intel ssd isnt connected... I am running windows 8.1 pro btw, not genuine. Thank you for any and all answers.
