Hello,

Recently noticed my secondary SSD had completely disappeared, I checked device manager & BIOS and there is no longer any trace of it, the only drive which shows up is my primary SSD which works fine. The only odd thing that has changed is now whenever I boot the BIOS screen takes a while to go it never did this before (literally 60 seconds) whereas usually, it would boot straight to windows unless I spammed del to obviously intentionally open it.

The SSD is just over two years old and it's a SANDISK SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z270X-Ultra Gaming.

Any help would be great, I've already ordered a new SSD but would be great to be able to recover.

Thanks

SSD: SANDISK SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Z270X-Ultra Gaming.

if the vendor gives out any ssd tools see if the tools see it. on some drive there have been bad firmware that causes ssd to have power on death like yours. if it not a firmware bricking issue. pull the drive see if it seen in another pc or on another sata port. hopefully your power supply did not fry it.

Had a little look I haven't been able to find any associated software, do you know any way of seeing if it's outright dead?

Thanks
