SSD not appearing

I just bought a new Samsung Evo 860 500gb SSD and installed it. Connected by a SATA 6gb/s cable to the mother board, a MSI B250 mobo. The issue I'm having is that the SSD is not appearing in my disk management window. It's not appearing in my BIOS. Apart from my HDD, it says all 5 other SATA ports have nothing connected. I've used the EaseUS disk recovery tool and it didn't find my SSD, the Samsung Magician tool didn't find the SSD. I've reconnected the SSD to 3 other SATA ports in my mobo. None of them detect it. The only thing that stands out is my device manager shows an "unknown device" under the "other devices" tab. Scanning for drivers on that device turned up nothing helpful. If anyone has any idea as to what is wrong and what solutions are available, please help me out. I'm at a complete loss.

If it does not appear in BIOS then it will not be visible in windows. The other device is something else.

So can you try a different SATA/Power cable?
