Question SSD not being recognized in disk management, diskpart (cmd) but is recognized in BIOS

I have a strange issue where my new SSD is not being recognized in windows 10. In my BIOS I can see the ssd but I still want my HDD to be the primary boot so I can copy its contents to my SSD.

The problem is when booting from my HDD I cannot see the SSD in disk management or in the command prompt using CMD.

When using that command I only see my 500gb HDD:

My 1TB SSD is nowhere to be found. But if I go to computer management and then device management and go to storage stations, it is there:

Why is that?

I've tried multiple things, like uninstallinge the IDE/ATA/ATAPI controllers and restarting them then rebooting, changing the slots of the cables but nothing works. What can I do?

I don't have any windows copies laying around so I hope there is a solution where I don't have to install windows 10 again on my SSD.

I had a similar situation installing a Samsung 860 EVO in an old Acer Veriton X480G. At first I could see it but after using the Samsung Data Migration software it would not boot properly and booting from old hard drive windows can't see the SSD but the BIOS can see it so I knew it wasn't a hardware failure.

Cut a long story short the Samsung Data Migration software doesn't clone the recovery partition that was setup from the Acer factory. I used a bootable Clonezilla USB to clone and it worked because it cloned block by block including the recovery partition. Basically the USB boots in Linux before starting the Clonezilla software.

Afterwards in windows 10 I used Easeus partition master to resize partitions.

In my case no not after the Samsung Migration clone. So couldn’t even format the ssd in Windows to redo clone. Clonezilla Bootable USB ran on Linux and had no problems seeing the ssd.
