Hi,
This SSD is the primary storage for OS, drivers and other commonly used programs on my PC. The PC along with the SSD was built in 2012.
Today, while the PC was idling after a game of League of Legends (I was using my phone), a sort of BSOD suddenly appears. Without thinking I immediately restarted the PC. However, it took a little too long to POST BIOS so I pressed DEL to enter setup and realize my OCZ SSD was not detected.
I then restart again hoping this will go away. Except same thing. I have since been powering down the PC, unplugged/replugged the power and SATA cable, as well as changing SATA ports on MOBO, all to no avail. In addition to that, I have tried to put on the SSD into an external SATA adapter and tried to use my laptop to access it through USB, but it was still not detected. I have also tried swapping the SSD with my laptop internal HDD to see if it can boot up on my laptop, but it couldn't (not detected and hence operation system not found). All in all, despite swapping and replugging cables and SATA ports, using a different system to boot up, the SSD just couldn't be detected. It was as if it wasn't plugged in!
So any idea gents and dames? Is it broken? If yes, can I at least recover my data? This failed a little bit too early for me. I was just about to build a new PC in december and move my data there.
Current build:
ASUS P5 MOBO
Q6600 2.4GHz
8GB RAM
Sapphire 7850 2GB
650W PSU
120GB OCZ Vertex 2
2TB Seagate Barracuda
