SSD not loading Windows with HDD

I bought a new SSD and I installed Windows 8.1 on it. My old storage which is my HDD has Windows 8.1 on it as well with all of my data. The problem is that when I boot from my SSD and I try to use my HDD as a storage drive, I get pass the Windows screen in 2 seconds (because of the SSD) and then a get a blue screen with no error message. If I boot from my HDD its working perfectly as if nothing happened. Not sure what to do atm.

Windows on my HDD is fully up to date. On my SSD it isnt. Not sure if that matters

did you install the os to the SSD with the HDD unplug?

No. If i reinstall it on the SSD would it affect Windows on the HDD?
