Hi, I'm desperate and need help. I have a MSI GS60 Phantom with 1tb hdd and 128gb ssd. What happened is yesterday when I was using chrome for some homework searching, the screen suddenly froze but mouse was still moving. Then I turned off the laptop by pressing the power button for 5 seconds or more. After that I can't start up window or access recovery, f3 f11 anything, but still can access to BIOS. Then I had to use a recovery usb to install new window 10, which caused all my data to lost (I cried). However, the importance here is that my ssd disappeared and window were installed on hdd @@. The ssd is nowhere to be found, even in disk managment. But the weird thing here is after restart and enter BIOS, the ssd is still in the storage information. After this I turn the laptop up and see the ssd as drive D, but I can't access anything inside it. Ultimately, I decided to install new window on the ssd drive. But again, it said that win 10 cant be installed on this drive. I really don't know why. It's been a long night for me. And I still have school, I need my laptop for studying. Please help me. 🙁

Unfortunately, it is possible that there is a problem with your SSD. The best thing you can do is to connect the drive to another PC. If the problem still persists, you should contact the seller and use the warranty. Sadly, I cannot tell you what caused the problem, but if the issue is confirmed on another PC, there is nothing to do to repair the drive.
Hi Meoletta,

I recommend you to open the BIOS menu and reset it to its default setting. Then, restart the PC and try to boot normally from the HDD drive. Is the SSD recognized by Disk Management? Please check if there is information about the drive in Device Manager. If the laptop is under warranty, you should contact the seller and ask for guidance. Unfortunately, there may be a problem with the drive or some connectivity issue, but if you open the PC, you will lose the warranty.

If warranty has expired, the best thing to do is to open the PC, remove the SSD and test it on another PC. If it is recognized there and is usable, you should seek assistance from a technician in order to check your PC’s motherboard and connections.

Hope this helps

Is there a possibility that my ssd die? It's stupid cause I just bought this less than 6 months ago, my primary usage was to study and sometimes dark souls 3 with max setting, this shouldn't affect ssd because I put the game on hdd drive. Furthermore, when I try to clean or interact with the ssd drive, it says incorrect function. So I think the highest possibility is that my ssd died...
