Question SSD not recognized as boot device but still works as storage

I've been using the same Kingston A400 120GB SSD as my boot device for Windows 7 for around two months when my computer abruptly shut off, and when it tried to reboot it booted into a USB drive with linux I had made a while ago and not removed. Whenever I try to force the computer to boot into the SSD it says to insert a boot device, but when booted into linux it still recognizes the SSD, shows files, and nothing seems to be corrupted. Does anyone have any idea what's going on / what I can do to find a solution?

I'd try replugging it in and see if that helps at all.
You might also want to do a BIOS update.
That might help.

Unfortunately my BIOS is up to date (this is an old motherboard, last update was in 2016) and I've already tried swapping it to other sata ports.
