Ssd. Toshiba xg3 m.2 pcie THNSN5512GPU7
Mobo. MSI z97 gaming 5
I have read many posts on this issue but have yet to find a satisfactory answer.
I know that my mobo can not fully utilize the ssd but I believe it is compatible.
I was able to load windows on it from Usb and can read and write with no problems.
Does not show up in the bios so I can’t boot from it.
Flashed bios to the latest
Unplugged all sata drives
Could the graphics card be interfering? MSI gtx1060
Many posts on this issue but none that have worked for me. Some have said to turn off the compatibility module and I found a reference to it in the bios but nowhere to turn it off or on.

Solution
its an oem ssd (no support) released in 2017, your latest bios is February 16. Even if MSI updated their bios adding support for an oem drive is really not going to happen.
