SSD Not Showing up in BiOS

A little while ago I got an SSD, put it in my motherboard and installed Windows. Everything was smooth and fine until I started getting error messages and one day while restarting my PC the post screen froze. When it finally got past it said that the SSD was missing. I unplugged the SSD and restarted the computer without it, the post screen doesn't freeze. By all other means it appears that the SSD is dead but whenever I restart my computer with it plugged in my computer freezes making me think that the computer recognizes it but not as a storage drive. HELP ME!

HDD: 2 TB HDD
SSD: Corsair 120GB Force
CPU; AMD Phenom II x6
GPU: ASUS GTX 750 TI OC
MOBO: ASUS M4N68T-M V2
OS: Windows 10 (WORKED FINE WITH SSD)

That is the symprom of a dead/dying hard drive or SSD

The bios helps the sata port exchange data with the drive of what ever type to identify it and confirm it is the same as the data stored in the CMOS

Try it in a different PC and see if you get anything different

If the BIOS can not find the SSD then either a cable has come loose or is faulty, a SATA port has been disabled
or if very unlucky sata port has died.
(Intel recalled a faulty chipset where sata ports died after a short time)

(try connecting SSD to a different data cable, power cable & sata port)

OR THE SSD HAS DIED

If a recent purchase put in a RMA claim with retailer or manufacturer

The Sata cable has not died, it works fine with my HDD. But I don't fully believe my SSD is dead because whenever I plug it in and restart my post screen freezes for like 2 minutes (ONLY HAPPENS WITH SSD PLUGGED IN) I think the post screen freeze is because the motherboard doesn't know what the SSD is, for all it knows its a USB or something.
