SSD not showing up

Recently bought a second SSD for more game space but it is NOT showing up in Disk management, Device Manager, My Computer, or Samsung Magician. The only place I can find it showing up is under Boot Override in my motherboards bios.

I've tried different sata ports and cables and looking in all the usual spots I said above.

I have win10 installed on a Samsung 840 pro and the second one I just bought is a Samsung 850 Evo.

I'd recommend you try to resolve the issue by swapping the SATA cable connecting the secondary SSD to the mobo. It might also be a good idea to plug it in another SATA 6 Gb/s port and see how it will get detected from there. It is most probably an insufficient power issue, so changing the cable might actually solve the problem. However, if you have access to another PC, I'd recommend you plug the SSD there and see how it will get recognized by the other system.

I actually have changed the cable and port and it made no difference. Unfortunately I do not have a second PC to test it on.

Have you tried resetting BIOS as well, @poltr4? It will get your BIOS settings back to factory defaults, so you might need to re-configure the SATA mode on both SSD again, but it might also help you with the proper recognition of the drive.
Another thing you could check is your SATA controller & Chipset drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's official website. Find your model there and make sure you have the latest versions of those drivers. While on it, you could also see if you have the latest BIOS version installed. If you need to update it, follow the instructions from your motherboard's manual. Flashing BIOS (a.k.a. updating the mobo's firmware) is a pretty sensitive procedure, so be careful.

Just wanted to say thanks to those who tried to help me.

I managed to get it all working. I had to download a linux OS (Ubuntu is what I used) put it onto a disk. I disconnected my other drives and then ran Ubuntu off the disk and formatted the drive then shutdown. Reconnected my other drives and started windows up again. Reformatted the drive for windows now that it actually showed up in win10 and all is good with the world again.
