Hello all,
I did a secure erase on my OCZ Agility 3 ssd about 2 years ago and don't remember what happened. I was going to sell it at the time but ended up keeping it. Anyway, I want to use it as storage for my games so I don't clog up my main ssd but Its not reading on windows. I tried to partition it with windows storage manager but I cot an error and then with gparted live and ubuntu live. Linux wont allow it to be mounted. I used ocz toolbox to do the secure wipe and ocz manage says the drive is good. I'm stuck on what to do next. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Solution

Maybe some screenshots would work here.

The Disk Management window.
Then the error you get, etc.

Open Disk Management
Right click on that drive.
It will ask you to Initialize it.
Do that.
Then, create a partition, Format, give it a drive letter.

I got "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

You got that doing what, exactly?

Initializing disk. I'm doing this on windows 10 by the way

I ended up doing another secure wipe with ocz toolbox then restarted. I went back into disk management and initializing the drive. I was able to then assign a letter and format the drive. Thanks for the Help.
