Hey, so I bought a SSD the other week and I'm having some real issues with it in my laptop, a HP Pavillion G6. I have updated the bios but the laptop just won't work with the SSD. The SSD works fine in my desktop but when I connect it to the laptop it doesn't work. I tried installing windows 7 on it but I get an error, I can't remember but it says something about I/O incorrect.. Please someone help me!

I tried that firmware upgrade but the SSD was made in February 2013 so it's recent and doesn't need an update. Also the BIOS doesn't have that option 🙁

How stupid of me, how did I not realize that I didn't put the SSD. It's a Sandisk 120gb ULTRA SSD. I'm using a windows 7 install disc. And as stated before I tried the update on the SSD and it's up-to-date. Also there's not AHCI mode in the Bios.

Sorry for the late reply. I got the replacement for it today which was a SanDisk 120gb extreme however it still won't work.. It gets to copying windows files 59% and then just gives and error. Please help me!

I understand this is an old thread. I had this same issue with a sandisk ultra 256 gb Model #sdssdhp256g. I did all the bios updates and the ssd has no firmware as of date. I have a SATA 2nd HDD SSD Hard Drive Caddy that fits in the cd rom slot.
The laptop now boots like normal and runs great! Yes I lost the DVD burner.
