So does it show up if you don't use that adapter you added?
...as in...
if you just unplug it and replug it into the outlet?

OR....do you have to have the adapter to get the drive to show.
it does show up I just need to use a different power outlet everytime I want to use my pc because thats the only way i have found to make the ssd/nvme work, the adapter is just there so i wouldn't plug the pc to the other side of the room

Are you sure the outlet is properly grounded?
If so....I would be suspecting your power supply.
If not...I could see an ungrounded outlet causing this as well.
ill check if its ungrounded but why does it only effect nvme/ssd's?

I think it is probably the PSU or MB and most likely the PSU. (if it's not the outlet itself).
I don't think it's something else.
Just out of curiosity...how did you confirm the outlet has a ground?
my dad is electrician I checked with one of those plug tools
