I wanted to put an ssd on my computer, can every ssd fit in a desktop? im getting a "Transcend 512GB MLC SATA III 6Gb/s 2.5-Inch Internal Solid State Drive 370 (TS512GSSD370)". Do i need many other things to install in on my pc? (i want to do it internally, i dont want it hanging off my pc

As long as your case has a 2.5" bay, you're good. It uses SATA power and data connections, the same as a traditional hard disk drive. In terms of hooking it up, it should be rather simple.

A little word of advice. If a SATA connector doesn't want to fit, you're doing it wrong. Don't try to force it. Both SATA power and SATA data only fit in one way.

As long as you have an open SATA port, an extra SATA cable, and the SATA power connector on your PSU, you can use that drive. It can be mounted in a 2.5 drive bay or 3.5 with an adapter, or you can simply stick it somewhere out of the way (I have one on the back of my motherboard tray) with some Velcro tape.

Most cases in the last few years have a dedicated 2.5" mount point.
Other than that, it connects just like a regular 3.5" drive.
