Hey guys! I recently got a new system that has a SSD in it. (Samsung evo 120gb) and I tend to fill it up fairly quickly. I livestream and download a good handful of games. What would be a good SSD to get and what would I need to be able to set it up and start using it. I am running a i5-4690K CPU and a Asus z97 MOBO. Thanks guys!

The only thing I would think that you'd need to mount an ssd is:

1. A place to mount it: Many cases include HDD racks that can accept both 3.5" and 2.5" HDD/SSD's, while some include a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter of sorts.

2. A Sata Data cable

3. A spare SATA power plug from your PSU

4. The SSD itself, screws are usually included in the SSD.

For budget conscious SSD, MX100 series are pretty good, though they may not perform as well as 840 EVO at 128 and 256GB capacities. SS SSD's usually perform better than the rest at lower capacities, at 512GB or 1TB, the differences are usually minimal.

I have both 840 EVO 256GB for the OS, and 512GB MX100 for games, both work as intended.

I think you should go with this SSD:http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-75E250B-AM/dp/B00OAJ412U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420646225&sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+240gb+ssd Is from Samsung so you cant go wrong and its very cheap as well and has a 240gb storage space in it so you can get Windows in there as well if you havent allready :)

One thing that could alleviate your OS ssd usage is move your entire documents folder to another drive, as well as your download locations (1TB platter drives are ideal for this), that would knock off one major source of space usage.

you can't go too far wrong with SSD's. Larger drivers tend to be faster (as they contain more chips) so I'd look for the most capacity for the price. The Crucial M500 drivers were very good value last time I looked and plenty fast enough at larger capacities.

Edit: Also you'll probably want to migrate your OS from the old drive to the new one (as 120gb is rather small for the OS drive imo). Instead of reinstalling everything, there is a great free tool called 'AOMEI partition assistant' that will allow you to move the OS to the new drive.
