Hello guys,
Currently I'm using wd blue 500 gb hdd and its atleast 5-6 years old hdd and sometimes I face blue and green screen errors too ! I dunno if that is the fault of hdd or of something else and sometimes my pc disk usage reaches to 100% due to system , anti malware security . Actually, now I have a budget of getting the samsung 850 evo 250 gb ssd, so I am really confused that should I go for the new 250 gb ssd which means new ssd + my old hdd or should i go for the totally new 1 tb hdd.
Thanks in advance :)
Your help will be much appreciated :D
My pc specs are :
Gtx 1060 6gb
I5 6500
Corsair vs 650
16 gb ram
Mobo - b250m-d3h

Similar to memory stick, there are no moving parts to an SSD. Rather, information is stored in microchips. On the other hand, a hard disk drive uses a mechanical arm with a read/write head to move around and read information from the right location on a storage platter. This difference is what makes SSD so much faster.

I would take an SSD and your current HDD until your current one dies.. which it seems its probably going to do soon. Once it dies you can buy a 1TB hard drive alongside your 250gb SSD. SSDs are just so much better for system responsiveness that I can hardly recommend a 1TB HDD over it.

Unless you desperately need the space for games or videos/movies, get the SSD and wait until your current HDD dies.

On a side note, you may want to replace your PSU at some point. Corsair's VS series PSUs are not made for gaming systems, and in that system it will not last as long as even a CX/M series PSU. Not a top priority but something to do if you're looking to make your system last for a lot longer.

Whatever you do, get the SSD. It will make your entire computer experience much better. As far as your current HDD, I would not keep anything that is "mission critical" on it because it may not be long for this world. You should load Windows on your SSD and store your games on the HDD. Considering you can get a 1tb hdd for $40, I would just go buy both a SSD and a HDD for around $120 and it will feel like you have a new computer.

Oh no, not user benchmark!

Yes, the Seagate is faster. Rarely does anyone call a Seagate more RELIABLE than a WD. Seagates have a pretty bad reliability record in recent years.
