I already have a 1tb hdd and i'm on a $100 or less budget. I want to store pretty much all my files on a storage device that's faster but don't what is bettter? A ssd I want it to be at least 500gb ($100 is maximum and I won't have that much for a while) or get a 32gb intel optane drive. I just want to load games faster (I don't know if it will help that I'm not an expert on that stuff but pretty much everyhting else computer related).

Solution
Samsung 860 EVO 500gb SSD, it's fast & within your budget.

The Intel Optane might be good for someone who has a few TB drive and wants to speed it up on a somewhat budget but a standalone SSD will be noticeably faster.

I would go with the SSD. If you install your OS on it and use it to hold all the files you access frequently, you'll have a very fast computer. You can then use the 1TB HDD for extra storage and/or backup. Even a 250GB SSD could work fine. Since you are on a budget, I would recommend one of the SSD's made by Crucial; they are reliable, fast, and significantly cheaper than Samsung's.
