So, I have £60 at the moment, and I want to get an SSD or upgrade my RAM from 8 gigs to 16. Currently, I don't have an SSD, so my boot times are nothing short of appalling. However, I do a lot of video editing and music production so it would also be nice to get 16 gb of RAM. What do you guys think? If I should get an SSD, can you recommend me one, since I don't really know much about SSD's. Lastly, if you guys know any good cheep sound cards, that supports 7.1, tell me, I need one 😀 Thanks!

get the ssd as there are currently no need for more than 8gb of ram besides 8gb is the standard right now so no need to upgrade that in a hurry .. a ssd will give your games and other apps a noticeable boost.. the 16gb would be great yes...

BTW you can get a great creative soundblaster .. take a look here

For your needs, the RAM would be really nice to have.
However, for your overall computer use, the SSD would have a much bigger impact.

Another vote for the SSD here, and more RAM when you have the budget for it in the future.
