SSD or SSHD on Windows xp

Hello and thanks in advance, Will a SSD be ok when running windows xp or can I only use a regular hardrive I'm curious cause I'm building up this old Dell 8400 So I can play old games on it like doom and turok 2 and Diablo II. I'd like my computers hardrive to not be so loud cause the current one in this thing sounds like its going to die soon. Or should I go with a SSHD?

Windows XP does not have trim support, and then there is the whole issue of finding ahci drivers (if the old motherboard even has AHCI).

In short you will be better off just using an SSHD
