Yea i can protect it from shock or moisture like this, as u said it's like an external hdd, but mine is just normal ssd with my long cables connected to motherboard/power-supply and ssd stands out of case, that's all fine right?

Connected normally, but just sitting outside the case? Sure.
Just don't drop it.
It's not ideal, but it would work. eSata would be better than normal SATA in this case, but if you already have it, it could definitely work. Just curious, why don't you want it in the case?
