Hello, I wish to ask regarding the title, I current own a Kingston SA400S37120G SSD 2.5", i never noticed before but recently i changed to a new pc case and installed both my SSDs on the lower part of the case where a lot of cables are a bit messy (really need to get to that and try to order them up), the case in name is the MPG Sekira 100R, so after all things done and said, i noticed the temp of this SSD to be at a constant 50C, sometimes at 48-49 but usually at 50C i seen it gone as high as 60C when installing stuff on it or when in workload, do not know if any higher.

Now yes as I said I do own a secondary SSD which is for storage, the Kingston one is my main drive with the OS, its apps to make it all work, chat apps and the likes. both are at the same exact position, and the second one is at a content 33-35C, while this one is going high.

So what could be? is the SSD failing? does it need replacing? or moved to another part of the case?

Not to worry.
Specs show an operating temperature range from 0c. to 70c.
really? is cause even if they say that, that normally they should be at a range of 30 to 50C when not doing anything, yet this one is at 50C constantly sometimes rising to 56 when i open a new software or so...Yeah sorry i sound paranoid or anxious but is cause i am semi new to it and lack the funds atm to replace or so.

Are the case fans running?
Are you blocking air flow around the ssd?
How much free space is on the ssd?
Perhaps move the ssd to a different location and monitor.

Yes all 6 of them
Don't think so maybe the big clob of wires behind where it is which i am gonna try to move today.
Free space? Like 52gigs out of the 111gbs it has available.
And I might do that if the reorganization of the wires does not work.

Whether it’s a SSD drive or any other storage device, every storage drive has a minimum and maximum operating temperature. In this case, the ideal temperature storage temperature is between -40°C~85°C and operation temperature is between 0°C~70°C. It means, till the time the temperature is in between the given ranges, you don't need to worry. However, to avoid or face any data loss situation, it's always suggested to keep multiple backups of your important data.
Being thinking on getting another SSD, but bigger in storage and clone it.
