Question SSD partition not accessible

My wife has a newish, less than a year old, ASUS POS laptop. I believe the SSD came from the factory with 2 partitions. A C and a D. When we try to access the D partition the system gets a black screen and stays that way. Power off will sometimes clear it. System will boot to PIN number screen, and will then hang sometimes. Is there a way to recover the partition without data loss?

Can you do a screen capture of Disk Management and upload the image to a site like imgur.com and then post a link here?

It will help members know how the SSD is setup and what might be done with it.

Started disk management, got a window and the message

Connecting to virtual disk service

along the bottom, for about 4 hours. I think something is broke.

Tried to boot from usb install disk, repair failed. The disk may be, in technical terms, Poo-Poo.

I would skip the repair then. But that means a full install and loss of data.
