Question SSD Problems

Hello, I just bought a new SATA SSD a couple weeks ago. It's being used as an external SSD connected by a SATA 3 to USB-C cable. I am noticing considerable amounts of stutter while playing World of Warcraft Classic and Retail. But it somehow runs Overwatch fine? I am just trying to figure out what could be causing the stuttering because it's definitely hard to do dungeons and raids or even walk and do any sort of combat in general.

My laptop: Acer Nitro 5 GeForce GTX 2060 i7 16gb RAM

My SSD: SK Hynix Gold S31 SSD 500GB

Cable: UGREEN SATA to USB C Adapter Cable for 2.5" SSD and HDD Hard Drive Connector 5Gbps Support SATA III UASP Thunderbolt 3 Compatible with Samsung Seagate WD Hitachi Toshiba MacBook Pro

if the game was running fine before using this external connected drive;

it can just be the types of files being read that cause issue.
some may take a bit more processing than others and the interface may not be able to handle it.
either the cable, the adapter, or even the drive itself can all be a factor.
if they don't offer adequate bandwidth, certain files may take longer to process.

install it on an internally connected drive and see if the issue persists.

I'm not sure if it's the same issue, but I read somewhere (either here or on some other posts elsewhere) that GEForce Experience application is the cause to my (internal) SSD to constantly run at 100%.

Is there a fix to this?
